Seeing the Good
The second lifestyle we discussed at the church was one where we focus on seeing the good. Based on God, who after looking at creation declared it to be good, we believe this aspect of our lifestyle will have a huge impact if we implement it. If we choose to see the good in people and situation, we have a head start in being more like Jesus.
Here are some questions -
1 - By focusing on the good, are we ignoring all the evil?
2 - How do we develop this habit of looking at the good?
3 - When do we address the bad?

I saw the good! As a boss we are encouraged to be an authority figure to our employees. I was struggling with this because it is not intuitive. I have since realized that being a friend that encourages my employees in thier careers is really what is GOOD about being a manager. God wants us to be friends to each other, not in a heirarchical relationship.
Nice comment, anonymous. I think it’s fair to say that "non-hierarchical leadership" is among the most crucial skills we need to learn as we embark upon the 21st Century.
Sometimes it seems like it is harder for us to see the good than to be negative. Is this because of ourculture or is it our nature or is it something else?
